In our investigate, Method B, you tested your reaction time by catching a ruler. You were also timing this part of the experiment with a stopwatch (another test of reaction time!). Let's find out how accurate you were!

Using the distances you recorded (NOT THE TIMES), use the following equation to calculate how long the ruler was falling.



d = distance the ruler falls (in cm)
g = acceleration of the ruler due to gravity (980 cm/s2)

Now, compare your calculated times to the times you recorded during your investigate. Are they the same? Why or why not?
